Born in Poland in 1927, Dr. Zandman as well as his entire family, suffered tremendously under the reign of the Nazi terror. After surviving under dramatic circumstances, he had the technical brilliance, entrepreneurship and courage to found Vishay Intertechnology, in 1962, based on his inventions. His success in directing Vishay Intertechnology over many decades has become a great benefit to more than 20,000 employees in more than 50 plants located in 20 countries around the world as well as for VPG employees.
Both companies are proud to provide a safe base for employment in modern jobs, developing, producing and selling technically leading products to many segments of industry. Dr. Zandman’s vision to develop a company in the sensors sector has been realized by the founding of Vishay Precision Group (VPG) in 2010, which was a spin-off from Vishay Intertechnology. The company’s core technology is based on Dr. Zandman’s resistive foil technology inventions.
We are proud of our integrity in conducting business, strictly following Dr. Zandman’s first principle of keeping “clean hands”. We are decided to carry on his mission of technical excellence, competitiveness and – most of all – of honesty and straight-forwardness.
